About Anne (continued)

Beginning in September 2002, I designed and taught a recreational beading course at Gloscat. This has been developed into a 7822 class, which I hope to run from September 2003, numbers permitting.

Other lecturing experience includes:

  • Short courses in machine embroidery for the WI and a quilting group.
  • Teaching class for 7922 Creative Embroidery Parts 1 and 2 at the end of Summer term 2003 due to the tutor being on extended sick leave.
  • Development of an "Action Pack" (a sort of distance learning workshop for small groups) for the WI.
  • Talks to local groups on my embroidery.

Over the last couple of years I have also produced work to commission by personal recommendation as well as in the US though my web site. I have also sold work through a local gallery.

As well as the college exhibition I have also exhibited with my local Embroiderers Guild and at the Madeira Fashion show, Harrogate 2002 and 2003.

Pictures of my work are to be included in the "Encyclopedia of Machine Embroidery Techniques" by Val Holmes (due to be published in October 2004) and "The Textile Directory" for 2004.

My web site is at www.pocketmouse.co.uk.
